Chain Letters

I am sure everyone has gotten at least 1 chain letter in their lifetime. Now we get it through our mail and its always the same thing... "Please forward to 15 people or ..... will happen". Have you ever forwarded those messages? Usually it either promises a bright future for your life or something good to happen or it will curse you.

When I was younger, I used to forward those emails "just to be safe" but as I got older, I realised that it didn't really matter whether I sent those emails or not... everything will still be the same..

And then came along Christian chain letters which claim that you have to forward them to 5,10,15 people to show that you love God and they would write it in a way that if you didn't forward the message you would not be a "good" christian.

I just have to say that I really hate those kind of chain letters. I don't believe that we have to send an email to show we love God. If we really want to show how good we are we should be going out there and helping the poor people on the street. Don't you think it would be much better to help someone in need instead of forwarding a stupid email that everyone else can do? That doesn't prove anything. It just shows that we are so used to the idea of chain letters that we HAVE to send it even if its nothing.

I have to add a disclaimer note that I do enjoy reading some of the emails I receive coz some of them are actually good but please do not expect me to forward it to other people in hopes that it will "help" a child get more money. Ever got one of those??? Do you think its real??? I still don't know but I don't think it will help much by forwarding the email. Who is going to pay the child??? Why not just call the girl up and let her know you want to send her money?? Is it because we are trying to do "charity" without actually "doing" anything???

Just my two cents worth.
